Greg M. Howard

Administrator/Executive Director

Joined the Ivy Lodge Administrative Team in May of 2021 having spent over four and a half years as the Executive Director of Ulster County Community Action Committee, Inc., that served Ulster and Sullivan counties. Prior to take, Greg had spent over 30 years in the healthcare field as a Vice President of Human Resources mostly predominately at HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley serving Kingston Hospital, Benedictine Hospital, Margaretville Hospital, Mountainside Nursing Home and Woodland Ponds continuing retirement care community in New Paltz, NY. Greg has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Business Administration from Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY and lives in Catskill with his husband and has two grown children who are married and living in Hyde Park and Richmond, Virginia and two grandsons in Richmond that have stole his heart!

Erin Gilligan

Office Manager

Erin is responsible for receptions, purchasing, human resources, employee training and other office tasks. She spent many years in Westchester as the clerical radiology administrator and relocated with her family to Saugerties several years ago.

Donita Johnson

Director, Resident Relations

Donita returned to Ivy Lodge in November and coordinates the resident activities, outings and assists with resident visits. Donita is also responsible for Case Management at Ivy Lodge. She is a resident advocate that is responsible in managing the Resident Council and Food Committee monthly meetings. If you are musician, part of a small band, lecturer, crafter etc., contact Donita to see if your services could be used at Ivy Lodge. Bringing over 10+ years’ experience in leadership and working with intellectual and developmentally disabled seniors. Donita lives in Hurley, NY and has three grown children and has a strong passion for horses.

Joan Hyde

FOUNDER

She and the Ivy Hall Senior Living team provide support out of the corporate office, located in Boston Massachusetts. For the last thirty years Dr. Hyde has worked in the field of gerontological research and practice, including, environmental and program design and implementation in assisted living, nursing homes, senior housing and other long-term care settings. Prior to founding Ivy Hall Senior Living she served as Chief Executive Officer of Hearthstone Alzheimer Care, where she established and managed eight dementia-specific assisted living residences in the northeast, making Assisted Living a widely accepted setting for dementia treatment. The founding Executive Director of the Massachusetts Alzheimer’s Association, she has spoken nationally and internationally on best practices in dementia care.Concurrently, Dr. Hyde is a fellow and on faculty at the University of Massachusetts Gerontology Institute, where she is engaged in long term care policy research, program evaluation, and teaches in the Masters in Aging Services program.
